Teacher will introduce students and have student write down in their journal the vocabulary words for this assignment

Would you be willing to pay a 5 cent deposit on recyclable products if you could return the empties to the store or a recycling center and get your 5 cents back per item?

Have groups argue why recyclables are not being used despite being made from recyclable products and have them record their responses

Have students discuss and write down What is the difference between these 2 videos, Which is more effective at recycling and why? Which is safer for the environment and why?

For Homework:

Students will write a page about What byproducts do you trash daily and explain how these items could be used as a recyclable product. As a bonus point Students can also write on a separate page explaining if they reuse any products at home. Such as milk containers as flower pots and how this helps the environment.

Assessment

Students will be assessed on their responses from their augments concerning recycling and why products are not recycled in the way we believed they are.

Students will also be evaluated on presenting their case of which program works the best supplying evidence from the video to support their claim

HW will be assess on creativity and effectiveness of recycling of products (HW responses do NOT mean they are required to recycle)
